The BDP-33FD supports the latest high-definition audio formats like Dolby® TrueHD and DTS-HD® Master Audio to give your Blu-ray Disc movies a soundtrack that's true-to-life. Professional-quality DACs and the Pioneer-exclusive PQLS (when paired with a PQLS-equipped Pioneer A/V receiver) precisely control the audio bitstream signals from the video player for the absolute best jitter-free signal transfers of Blu-ray, DVD, and CD music during multichannel output.This Blu Ray player is modified with our WorldClad WC12BR hardware modification. It allows playback of any region Blu Ray Disc and Regions 0-8 for DVDs. All protected DVDs from any region can be played back and the player can output PAL or NTSC. It also operates on 110-240 volt power so this player can litterally play discs from all over the world, anywhere in the world.

Combined with a Panasonic Plasma and a Yamaha Home Theater the BDP33FD produced super home entertainment with great picture and sound. Network access has not been used; however, I have already used the Region Free capability extensively and it works excellently. Am projecting the online capabilities will also be as problem free. This was a great purchase!

Pioneer delivers excellant quality in everything I've purchased from, Home Theater, DVD Burner, DVD player which was why I chose this particular Blu-Ray player. The WorldClad region free modification made the decision even easier. Set-up was easy, we were watching a movie in less than 30 minutes. I've found the picture quality great. If considering going for a region free Blu Ray player this one definitely qualifies as a top consideration
