The new DV-45A brings the emerging technologies of DVD-Audio and multi-channel SACD to you in a single box. With more than 1,000 DVD-Audio and SACD titles expected to be released by year-end, Pioneer continues to lead the industry in providing universal players that offer consumers the greatest flexibility to listen to a wide variety of titles in their preferred format.
As with all Pioneer Elite DVD players, you are assured the highest quality audio and video reproduction. The DV-45A includes 54MHz/10 bit video processing and Legato PRO(TM), Pioneer's refined frequency range expansion technology for better music reproduction. They also offer Pioneer's PureCinema(TM) progressive scan circuit to faithfully reproduce the original film frames using 2:3 pull-down inverse telecine technology and display them progressively. If the DVD does not indicate telecine conversion, the PureCinema circuit will process the signal with advanced motion detection and create the new progressive image.
In the audio section, the DV-45A also offers triple Burr Brown 192kHz/24 bit audio processing, six channel analog audio output, bass management, Dolby Digital(TM), DTS(TM) and SRS TRU Surround.

This player can play PAL discs on a NTSC TV but CANNOT play NTSC discs on a PAL TV. For example, if you live in the USA you will be able to play PAL region 2 discs from Europe on your US NTSC TV, BUT if you live in Europe you will not be able to watch American NTSC discs on your PAL TV.
